Moto Series Round 5 Nelson Ledges July 17th

I had a great weekend of racing. Saturday the first thing I worked on was to match my pace from the last time I was here. My goal for the weekend was to take three more seconds of my best lap time. I want to give a big thanks to Jeff Wrobel for working with me all day Saturday with my lines and shift points. Sunday we put on a fresh set of Sportbike Tire Service Michelin tires for my race and they stuck like glue. My first race was the 750 race. I didn't get the best start but I worked my way up to 4th place with two laps to go,I made a pass to take 3rd place going into turn twelve and turned my fastest lap of 1:10:986. So I was happy to not only get my first podium on the 600 but I hit my goal of taking three seconds of my best time. The next two races was the 600 class. I matched both classes with two more third place finishes. The last race of the day was the 1000 class.I felt like if I could get a good start I could hang up front with the leaders. I started from the third row and pulled a good start and was running in second place. When I got to the back straight I got passed and tried to hang on in third place but I hit a false neutral going into turn 12 and went through the grass, but saved it.I pulled into the pits to make sure everything was ok and went back out but had to settle for 6th place.I would like to thank Apex Manufacturing, Sportbike Track Time, Sportbike Tire Service, Michelin Tires,RNA Pro and Moto Series.

Moto Series Round 4 Beaver PA June 26 2011

We got to Beaver Friday night and camped out for the weekend. It was of fun staying all night at the track. Saturday I went out and started finding my lines and shift points and started getting comfortable and the next thing I know I tucked the front in turn one. I tore my finger up,but other then that I was fine. My dad got my bike back together and put on some fresh tires and I went back out for one more session to get back to my times before I crashed. Sunday I went out in the first practice and lowered my lap times some more. In the 750 race I placed 6th. In the first 600 race I placed 7th and in the second 600 race I also placed 7th. The last race of the day I took 9th in the 1000 class. I set another personal best lap time of 1:03:755

Moto Series Round 3 Nelson Ledges June 5th

Ok the sun is out and this is what I like to see on race weekends. I started out pretty slow on Saturday and just worked on getting comfortable on the bike again and trying to find my lines and shift points. I had lots of people that helped me get back up to speed. In the 750 class I took 5th place. In the first 600 race I took 5th place, and in the second 600 class I took 4th place. In the 1000 class I took 7th place and set my new personal best lap time of 1:13:737 All in all it was a good weekend and a step in the right direction.

Moto Series Round 2 Nelson Ledges May 15th 2011

Well this is supposed to be my first week back after missing round one with a broken back. The weather was not on my side this round. It rained all weekend and I had no rain tires. I tried to run my first race in the 750 class, but rode with lots of caution. Every time I tried to get on the gas the rear tire would just spin. I finished the race in 5th place and got a few points. I decided that the conditions were too bad for me to race the rest of my classes and we called it a day. I had more to lose then I was going to gain in my first week back.

This year I am moving up to race the 600, 750 and 1000 Superbike Class with Moto Series. This will for sure be a big step and a learning year for me.

Round 8 WERA Nelson Ledges

I just finished up the final round of the WERA North Central region. Saturday was the 20 lap Light Weight solo race. I had a great race setting my new personal best lap time and breaking into the 1:14's. I knew i had a good pace and was able to put my head down and chase down the leaders early on to take the win. Sunday i knew i already had enough points to win the championship, but i wanted to try and go out with a win. I pulled the holeshot rode hard and never looked back to take the win. The next race was the Formula 2 class. I was sitting second in points. I needed to win and have the points leader to finish fifth or back to win the championship.I knew with only eight laps it would be hard to catch up to the 650's off the start. My dad told me the only thing i could control is what i do and ride hard, have fun and see how it all works out. I passed the points leader and worked my way up to second place only to get passed back on the straight away. I went back and forth with the second place rider, but had to settle for third place. I ended up second overall in points for the Formula 2 class for the season. I some exciting things working for next season.Check back soon for the details.

Round 7 WERA Beaver Run PA

I had another great weekend at Beaver Run PA. Saturday was cold and windy with rain showers on and off. I went out for the the first practice and felt good. My lap times were the same as the last time i was there. On Saturday in the 20 lap race i finished 5th on my 125 behind four SV650's. I felt if i had the pace if i could of made some passes a little sooner i could of better my position. Sunday my main focus was the 125 class. I took 1st place and took over a full second off my personal best lap time.In the formula 2 class I had some good battles with the Sv 650's and finished 4th.
